This chinese restaurant is far removed from chinatown's offerings and not just geographically. The cuisine is rarely greasy, or overly sauced. There are subtle flavors working in many of the dishes and a definite modern flair. You can still find many of the favorite american-chinese dishes here, but you will also be pleasantly surprised by the more adventurous dishes. My personal favorites are the Spare Ribs, Crispy Boneless Duck, Beef Chow Fun, Chicken with Honey Walnuts and Nectarines, and Black Trumpet Mushrooms. When they first opened, they made an amazing matzoh ball soup, but that has sadly gone downhill. However, the prices are reasonable and the food is always delicious, if occasionally less than wonderful. Also, the staff is always accomodating and cheerful. Nice decor too - a good place to take the parents or a date.
