Cavanaugh's Restaurant & Bar

reviews 3 ratings 8 average 1.9
University City's Cavanaugh's is a college bar. It's got food, nine fridges stocked full of dozens of take-out beer brands, TVs all over the place, video games, a huge bar fully stocked with liquor and more than a dozen draft beers. During the day, the bar is quiet and inviting, a spacious West Philly oasis. At night, the crowds arrive, and it gets wild, rocking and loud--just as a good college bar should.

lots of good beers on tap although still have the basics. the bar food is very good with good burgers and the best buffalo wings i've had in university city. in addition, they have specials often, my favorite is on wednesdays for $6.75 you get a cheeseburger, fries and buffalo wings. throw in a good beer with that and you got one happy belly

Cavs has a fairly decent corned beef sandwich and the fries with olde bay hold their own. This is def a college pub, with a college pub atmosphere and college pub menu. Good lunch choice if you are in the area.

I've been here in off hours. Nice place to hang out with some friends over a couple of beers.
