Same old story. Boy meets chain restaurant skeptically. Boy feels guilty for stigmatizing chain restaurants. Boy lays down $100 for 4 people to satisfy their grub urge for chicken, beef, pork and corn bread served on an aluminum garbage can cover. Boy feels vindicated for the stigmatization.
Bottom line: there are much better options for bar-b-que (Rib Crib in Germantown) PLUS why go to a chain restaurant within a city? That is just wrong.

I am not a BBQ person - but I like the corn muffins (more like cupcakes) and the BBQ chicken at Famous Daves. The chain atmosphere is like a rustic, cabin version of TGI Friday's. It is a good, cheap choice to take kids, as well.
i dislike retractions but here it goes .... oh hell i'm not retracting just refining. i had a very decent meal at dave's tonight. and the service was stellar, now not upscale le bec fin stellar but small bar-b-que chain stellar. the pork ribs were meaty and moist and those spicy baked beans with HUGE chunks of pork were outstanding.
Bottom line: if you can't make it to Rib Crib OR you just want to sit and eat within city limits then FD is not a bad option.
