I had dol sot bibim bap, which was absolutely amazing. The bibim bap was also quite good. If you don't know, Korean food comes with a main meal and then with many sides. Here, each side can be refilled once without an extra fee. I promise a full stomach.

Although the outside of the restaurant is nothing to look at, the inside is rather charming and "modern", inspired by traditional paper houses of Korea and Japan. Very cool.

To get great Korean food you need to travel to the North East (Jong Ka Jib) or to 69th street near the Tower Theater where the menu is completely in Korean. If you find yourself in or around West Philly you could do much worse than Han Wool. I've only had some of the korean dishes here and none of the japanese dishes. The spicy squid is very good as are some of the large bowls of soup. The beef and cellophane noodle soup is especially good. Naturally, the banchan is of a great variety (though i swear they give me the american-white-guy one's...). As Kat mentioned the bibim bap is very good.
