The Abbaye

reviews 9 ratings 20 average 4.4
Like most of the restuarants in the Northern Liberties, Abbaye serves great organic food. It's typical bar/pub fare, but you can definitely taste the difference in the quality of the meats and vegetables. They've got lots of great beer on tap--belgian beers as well as microbrewed. The beer is a tad pricy because it's high quality stuff, but the food and atmosphere will keep you coming back. They have a quizzo night on Thursdays. And they've got darts. They have $3 pints on Mondays.

Best steak sandwich in philly. I'm drueling just thinking about it. The guy in charge of trivia drops the fbomb gratuitously/excessively. That is my only complaint with the abbaye.

Cheesesteaks have been progressively smaller and smaller at each visit. Still a good filling meal. They have Sriracha (cock sauce).

Great food, great beer, and great atmosphere. This would be the greatest restaurant known to man if the prices were a little lower, but I have no problem spending a little extra for something so amazing. Why buy a $5 bottle of miller lite when you can get a great belgian beer for the same price? Hands down, the best cheese steak IN THE WORLD! Yummy.

Have to agree wit h all the "great food, great beer" comments. Also, they always have new homegrown art on the walls, which is pretty nifty. Cheesesteak = barnone, but the rest of the menu is solid as well.

Now that this place has free wireless, I'm there 2-3 times a week. I think they put crack in the sandwiches--I'm going into withdrawal since I haven't had the Abbaye Cheesesteak in over 6 days.

I definitely agree with all the "great food, great beer selection" comments... but I must add that they have delicious mac & cheese. Really really delicious.
