this is one of the most annoyingly slow restaurant's at penn. I've been there on a pretty empty night with no one waiting ahead of me and had two salalds taking about 35 minutes to get. The only thing that can be quick is the bagels. in addition, some of the people who work the counter know so little English that it is very difficult to order the food, esp since they don't know how to use the registers, which makes it even harder.

chicken soup with matzo balls are good.

i really liked this place. we walked inside the place and thought "wow, what a quaint little crap hole, but it smells so good." then we got the offer to eat outside, at which we walked back outside and around the restaurant. there is a huge outdoor area with bright colored picnic benches and a covered area that all had a very inner-city-island feel to it. i absolutely loved the atmosphere.

we then had a very friendly waitress that was helpful in making our food decisions. the jerk chicken was very good, and spicy enough for spice lovers, although would probably be overwhelming to those without a fine tuned taste for spicy. we also had the beef jerk patty (i think) and it was yummy too.

there was supposed to be a monkey themed drink menu, which i was very excited for. The bar tender said that all ingredients for the monkey themed drinks were out so we couldn't see the menu. made me very unhappy.

Just went back to Eulogy. I must say, it was amazing. the fries are the best i've ever had as were the beer muscles. On tap i tried their Delerium Tremens and Kwak, both of which were incredibly good, i was supprised. The Bratwurst was really really good and my friend loved his fish and chips.

The wait staff is incredibly good too. I've never seen a group of waiters/waitresses that seem so happy with their jobs. they are very knowledgeable on all their beers which is very impressive considering the long list. I always take their suggestions on which beer to drink.

The meal came out to $75 for two people, but the smiles on our faces made it so worth it. the price is surprisingly high if you consider it merely bar food, but i would say the quality of the dining is much higher than any bar. i would recommend making reservations on opentable.com if you're planning on going on a weekend as the wait can be quite long.
